Multi-Level Outdoor Living on a Steep City Lot
The Vision
Transform a steep, 20-foot grade change into a functional backyard with space for entertaining, relaxing, and privacy — all within the tight access of a city property.
The Approach
After removing an old pool, we installed three to four different retaining wall systems to stabilize the slope and define usable areas. A custom patio and pavilion created an all-weather gathering spot, while wood fencing added privacy and warmth.
The Result
The once-challenging slope is now a connected, multi-level outdoor space built for comfort, durability, and year-round enjoyment.
